Colin Rafferty's Scorpions will be crowned Champions next week if they win away to bottom team Alpha. They thrashed stablemates Times Tigers by 12-2 this evening to move within touching distance of the crown. The dogfight for second spot continues, Trojans regain the position after a 9-5 away win at Greenisland Colts whilst a similar win by Ballbreakers keeps them well in the mix, they trail Trojans by only a single frame. Galacticos were untroubled, easily seeing off pointless Alpha by 12-2 in the Greenisland WMSC but the most exciting match of the night unfolded in the Monkstown SC where Doagh Dragons led 3-1 early doors but had to take the final frame off the match to rescue a point at 7-7 against Hit Men & Her.
