Scorpions 1-3 GalacticosLeague leaders Scorpions edged closer to the title with a solid 11-3 win at home to Galacticos in tonights round of fixtures in the CITY AIR EXPRESS sponsored Carrick & District Pool League. Second placed Trojans were held to a draw in an exciting match at home to the improving Times Tigers who had veteran Davy Montgomery to thank as he took out a great pressure finish in the final frame of the match. Doagh Dragons are now second on frame difference from Trojans after just edging out a determined Colts team in Greenisland and Ballbreakers also are still jockeying for second after an untroubled night at home to Alpha, Rab Brown's side running out 13-1 winners. Hit Men & Her turned on the style easily seeing off the Vikings in Monkstown with a 12-2 scoreline.
