Scorpions win 15-14 after play off frame
These two teams usually produce a really close exciting match and tonight was no exception. Due to the Easter holidays both Legs were played on the one night in the Whiteabbey WMC. The teams couldn't be seperated in either match, both ending up 7-7. But Mervyn McIlvenny held his nerve in Frame 29 to take out a great pressure clearance and send The Scorpions into the Final where they will meet either Cowboys or Swift. Spartans were behind most of the way only taking the lead for the first time at 12-11 after the 23rd frame, they secured the next two to go on the hill at 14-11 but Scorpions dug deep to level up and send the match into the deciding play off frame. Top of the pots for the Scorpions was McIlvenny himslf on 5/6 and Kenny English on 5/6 for Spartans.
