Catch us if you can is the message from Derek Whiteside's Greenisland Galacticos. After a 10-4 defeat of title rivals and stablemates GWMSC, they were in dreamland when they heard that another of their closest challengers, Swift, had gone down 6-8 to HM&H. Swift were poised at 6-6 with two to play away to the Monkstown team but it was Andy McMeekin and Robert Henderson who were heroes of the hour for HM&H as they put a severe dent in Paul Roberts's teams title hopes. Paul Henderson helped himself to a hat trick on the night for the hosts. And look who have quietly crept up into 2nd position. Hugh McMurtrys Cowboys comfortably overcame Alpha by 10-4 inspired by a Chris Carson treble. And to add icing to the cake they travel to Galacticos next week for a top two crunch match. Spartans seemed to have put their bad League campaign start behind them, winning both sessions 5-2 for an untroubled 10-4 at home to Teddy Bears. Barbarians had a fine 8-6 win at home to 39ERS, they trailed 3-4 at the break but kicked on to take all 3 points with ex 39ER John Barrons winning the all important 14th frame. Eastway have won for the second week running, this time in a tight match against Clare Websters Warriors. And Jonny Thompsons Scorpions finally done what we know they are capable of by turning on the style in a 13-1 thrashing of 6th placed Trojans. Thompson will be hoping this result can put their bad start behind them and make a push on up the table.
