It as you were at the top of the City Air Express Carrick and District Pool League as top two teams Galacticos and GWMSC both secured wins, 10-4 and 9-5 respectively over Teddy Bears and HM&H.
And new team The Swift now sit in 4th. They eased to a 12-2 win against Warriors in a derby match. Whitehead Trojans moved up to 8th in the table after an 8-6 home win over Barbarians. Trojans won both sessions 4-3 bouyed by a hat trick from new signing Eddie Gribben.
Cowboys are now 5th courtesy of a narrow 8-6 win at home to Scorpions. They done it the hard way though as they trailed 1-4 after 5 frames of the match. Scorpions now sit in an unfamiliar bottom of the table position.
Spartans lost the first frame away to Alpha, but then proceeded to take the next 9 on their way to a 12-2 win with Kenny English recording a break and dish and an 8 ball clearance in a fine hat trick. Darren Lowe also registered a hat trick for the visitors. John Robinson and Norman McAllister scored for Alpha.
The result of the night belongs to Dee Willis's Eastway. Enthused by a win away to Cowboys last week in the Knock Out Cup, they travelled up to Ballyclare 39ERS with most pundits expecting a home win. Eastway were having none of it and Willis himself played a captains inings by winning frame 14 to secure the 3 points with an 8-6 win. Iain Britton scored a hat trick for the 39ERS.
