Galacticos tightened their grip at the top of the table winning against rivals The Spartans down in Whitehead Rangers Club. The hosts only trailed 3-4 at the interval but the Greenisland team took the second session 5-2 for an overall 9-5 win. Rab McCullough was their star performer with an impressive hat trick which included one break and dish. In the big derby match in Rathcoole, it was Mark Kitson's Alpha who secured the bragging rights with a tight 8-6 win. Hero of the 14th frame was Norman McAllister who ousted Trevor Greer to give his team victory. Scorpions bad run of form continues as they stay anchored to the bottom of the table after losing 4-10 at home to The 39ERS. For the visitors, Iain Britton scored his second hat trick in successive weeks including a tidy break and dish. Whitehead Trojans thrashed Warriors 13-1 to progress up the table and Hugh McMurtrys Cowboys edged HM&H 8-6 up in Monkstown helped to no end by a Steven Carson treble. Paul Roberts' Swift won both sessions 4-3 for a narrow 8-6 scoreline away to Teddy Bears. Best for Swift was Rab Butler with a treble whilst Stuart Kelly scored 2/3 for the Bears. And finally it is Glenn Burns's GWMSC who hold the bragging rights after a Greenisland Club derby match as they came from 3-6 down to win 8-6. The experienced Bangor man Hugh Regan notched up a hat trick on the night. Craig Loughlin had 2/2 for Barbars.
