IT IS OFFICIAL. Andy Arbuthnots Rockers Pool Team are the new 2012/2013 CITY AIR EXPRESS Carrick & District Pool League Champions. Needing only a point to secure the title, they travelled down to Barbarians and sealed the deal with an 8-6 win. Shaun McAlister won the all important frame on the night but it has been a huge team effort over a long season and the Whiteabbey RBL team are very worthy Champions. Rockers will go on to represent our League in the N.I.P.A Champions of Champions event in mid June along with Cup Winners HM&H. Pictured above are the players who done the business on the night being congratulated by League Chairman Derek Whiteside (back centre).

In other matches Greenisland consolidated their push for the runners up spot with a comfortable 11-3 win over Warriors, Spartans won the final three frames to get a draw at Jonny Thompson's Scorpions and Castle overcame Eastway 8-6. In the battle of the Trojans, Whitehead had to win the final two frames to secure a draw, there were hat tricks heroes on both teams, Tristan Scott-Heyes for the hosts and Rab McMaw for the Monkstown team, as both sides kept up their reputation as draw specialists.. HM&H eased to an 11-3 win at home to Alpha whilst Cowboys recorded a 14-0 win over Jolly Beggar. Teddy Bears had a bye this week.
