SKC Gaming Knock Out Cup Quarter Final Results:
Rockets v Galacticos
It started well for the hosts as Dean Reid capitalised on a dry break with a
magnificent clearance and Rab Butler doubled the lead with another nice
clearance. The visitors were soon back on level terms as Aaron Rolston edged a
tactical frame and Gary Wallace took out a lovely clearance. Stuart McClean tap
broke the next frame and managed to take the win. A break and dish from Wallace
and tasty clearance from Shaun McAlister gave the visitors a 4-3 half time
lead.
Wallace doubled a great black instead of playing safe before Butler pulled one
back for the hosts. Trevor Whiteside potted his last ball and the white. Davy Blair
was able to compose himself for the two ball clearance to equalise.
Neil McFaul put the visitors ahead in the next frame.
McAlister put the Galacticos on the hill.
Aaron Rolston took out a composed clearance to send his team into the semi

Q Club v Bowlers
This was straightforward win for the Q Club and a tough night for the Bowlers.
The home side played very well and deserved the win.
There were a couple of lengthy tactical frames but they all went to the home
side. For the Bowlers, Paul Ford was unlucky to lose, in potting the black only
for the white to drop in the middle pocket. Consolation for the Bowlers was
that they reached the quarter finals! Q Club 8 Bowlers 0
Tigers V Scorpions
The Scorpions took the early advantage with solid wins for
Lee McIlreavey and Chris Carson before John Fulton pulled one back for the
Tigers. Darren Whiteside and Michael Wilson made it 1-4. Tigers dug deep with
great finishes from Tom McGurk and Stevie Blair to make it 3-4 at the interval.
Scorpions regrouped and rattled off the next four frames with wins for Lee
McIlreavey, Michael Wilson, Colin Rafferty and Chris Carson. Some of the frames
in this match could have went either way and Scorpions are delighted to be into
the draw for semi finals. Tigers 3 Scorpions 8
Trojans v Colts
Stuart Kelly put the home side one up and it looked like Andy Quinn would
double the lead, potting the first six balls when he missed his last ball up
stepped young Jack Carson with an 8ball clearance. Aaron Watters doubled the
lead with a great Break & Dish. Colts captain wanted to increase the
visitor’s lead to 3 frame when Alan Corrigan had a dry break but Harry Warwick missed
his first ball & was a spectator for the rest of the frame as Alan Johnston
cleared the table with a fabulous 8ball Clearance to level the match 2-2. The
Trojans reeled of the next three frames with wins for Stephen Quinn, S Kelly
& Alan Corrigan to lead 5-2 at the break. S Kelly took the first frame
after the break giving him 3/3 on the night. Jack Carson got his second of the
night with a Reverse Dish. Andy Quinn put the Trojans on the Hill 7-3 and
Stephen Quinn pulled out a terrific finish to secure an 8-3 win for the
Whitehead Trojans & book their place in the Semi-Finals. Live draw will occur next Tuesday. Semi Finals to be played on 29th
November 2022.
