- Knockout Cup Winners HM&H who are hoping for a Cup Double this season will be well pleased with a 4 frame advantage to take down to Whitehead next Monday night. Although the Trojans will be disappointed as with 3 frames remaining they only trailed 5-6.
- But another Whitehead team, The Spartans will be relishing their trip up to Whiteabbey RBL for their 2nd Leg against League leaders The Rockers. They lead 9-5 after a great match. Spartans raced out of the blocks to lead 5-0 and then 6-1 at the interval. But Rockers won the 2nd session 4-3 to keep this Cup tie very much alive. Don't bet against the Rockers maybe taking this one to a play off frame next week. Best for Spartans were Stephen Johnston 3/3, Darren Lowe 2/2 and Michael Wilson 2/2.
- And what a match up in Greenisland. Cowboys led 5-2 at half time but Castle amazingly whitewashed the 2nd session to hold a 9-5 lead to take to the Brown Cow next week for the 2nd Leg.
- Jonny Thompson's Scorpions, the current Home & away Cup holders, will be confident of securing a Semi Final spot after a solid l1-3 win away at Alpha.
