- Spartans kept up their title hopes alive with a 10-4 win away to Teddy Bears in the Rangers Club derby match. But it looked to be going all wrong for the Whitehead team, they trailed 1-3 and it would have been 1-4 only for an unlucky miscue by Bears Captain Andy Lindsay on his final colour. Spartans never looked back after that and ran off 9 in a row to secure the 3 points. S.Johnston and M.Wilson both scored hat tricks for the visitors, best for the hosts was 17 year old S.Kelly on 2/3.
- Castle and Greenisland also kept the pressure on at the top both winning 9-5. Castle were playing stablemates Barbarians and Greenisland condemned HM&H to only their 4th defeat of the season.
- Whitehead Trojans looked down and out as they trailed at home to the Cowboys by 4-7, but they rallied to take the final 3 frames of the match to earn a valuable draw. Trojans debutante L.Swan scored 2/2 whilst best for the visitors was Captain H.McMurtry also on 2/2.
- MSC Trojans were given a bit of a scare by the Warriors. They led 4-0 only for Warriors to bring it back to within 1 frame at the interval. But a 5 frame burst at the start of the 2nd session was more than enough to give Rab Brown's men the 3 points. Best for the home side was Jonny Mackay on 3/3, with Davy Montgomery and Kyle Kirkwood both on 2/2.
- In the big Rathcoole derby match honours were shared as Alpha took the 14th frame to earn a vital point in their quest to move off the bottom of the table.
- Scorpions had too much power for 2nd bottom Jolly Beggar running out 11-3 winners on the night.
- League leaders Rockers had a bye this week
