League Week 4

League Week 4 Fixtures - Tuesday 9th October 2018

Cockweasels 4-10 Galacticos
Dragons 10-4 Hit Men & Her
Scorpions 12-2 Alpha
Trojans 8-6 Vikings

Colts P-P Tigers

Hitmen & Her arrived at Doagh Dragons following a hard earned point last week against reigning champions Scorpions, but even though Paul Henderson got them off to the perfect start, they had no reply as the Dragons won the next 6 frames to win the first session 6-1. HM&H started the second session the same way as the first with Andy McMeekin winning the first frame, but Craig Laughlin took out a smart finish to take Dragons to the hill and even though Paul Henderson won his second frame of the match, there was to be no repeat of last week's collapse for the Dragons as Michael Wilson won the all-important 8th frame to keep Doagh on top of the table with 4 wins from 4. Best for Dragons, Kyle Kirkwood 3/3 & Craig Laughlin 2/2. Best for HM&H, Paul Henderson 2/3.

Scorpions hosted Alpha. The home team secured the points at 8-0 winning a few frames that could have gone either way.  The second half was won in a similar fashion 5-2 by the reigning champions. Best for Alpha: Stephen Willis 1/3 and Mark Kitson 1/3. Best for Scorpions: Paul Kerr 3/3, Lee McIlreevy 2/2, Gary Wallace 3/3 and Colin Rafferty 2/2.

Galacticos, hoping to improve on last season's performance with a top 4 finish this time around travelled to Whitehead to play the Cockweasels. The first two frames were shared but the Greenisland men took the next two on the bounce and looked like running away with it. The Whitehead men had different ideas firing off two quick frames to draw level. Man of the match Shaun McAlister stepped up to give the visitors the lead at half time. The visitors came out a different team in the second half running off six on the bounce, including McAlister's hat trick frames, to secure the three points. Cockweasels took the last with a great clearance from Ryan Barry but it was scant consolation.

Trojans raced to a 6-1 lead at half time with lethal finishes in every frame.  Vikings’ Tyler McKee had a good finish before  Ryan Scott had a break and dish against Ed McDowell. The next frame was taken by Robert Hawkins after a 9 ball re rack against Aaron Rolston. Vikings Captain Girvan Fleming took the next one with a tasty finish. Robert Hawkins took the next frame to secure 3 points for the Trojans. Tyler McKee pulled one back for the Vikings and Steven Hamilton ensured Vikings got a bonus point.

Colts v Tigers was postponed
