Newly crowned Champions Scorpions looked as if they were going to steamroll Girvan Fleming's Whitehead Vikings team in a victory parade as they raced into an early 5-0 lead but what a comeback by the visitors, they won seven from the remaining nine frames to leave the York Road venue with a well earned point. The race for second is even tighter after tonights results with only a point seperatng four teams. Doagh Dragons lead the way after a 13-1 demolition against Alpha in Rathcoole whilst Galacticos are level on points in third after a solid performance away to previously second placed Whitehead Trojans. The Greenisland outfit raced into a 4-0 lead courtesy of a break and dish and two eight ball clearances and it was always an uphill battle for Trojans to recover though they did bring it back to 6-8. Rab Brown's Ball Breakers are now fourth after seeing off Times Tigers by 10-4 in the Greenisland WMSC and last but not least Hit Men & Her defeated Colts 9-5 in Greenisland.
Big congratulations to Scorpions Paul Kerr and partner Angela on the birth off their new baby daughter on Sunday night. The new arrival weighed in at 7lb 6oz and both are doing well.
