Round Up
The GreenislandGalacticos entertained the Whitehead Spartans in what was to be a close evening indeed, with both teams going frame for frame and, with the scores at 6 each, Stephen Carson stepped up to make sure of a point for the Champions and complete his hat-trick.  They don’t call him special for nothing and Kenny English didn’t disappoint, making sure in the last to take a share of the points. Best for the visitors S Johnston 2/3 & S McWhirter 2/3
League leaders The Swift played host to the Hit Men & Her, and with a full team in attendance they carried on where they left off last time out, winning both sessions 5-2 & 4-3.  Special mention goes to Paul Henderson who put together another fine hat-trick for the visitors. Best for the hosts K Kirkwood 2/2, S McLean 2/2, D Irwin 2/3, R Butler 2/3 and a cameo for manager, Paul Roberts.
Second placed Scorpions seem to love the number 12 as for the second week in a row they destroyed their opposition 6-1 6-1.The Colts really never got going with only manager Harry Warwick and Davy McCandless registering for the visitors. For the hosts, Carrick Interleague A Team manager Darren Whiteside put together another fine hat-trick with Davy Montgomery, Paul Kerr, Mervyn McIlvenny and Raymond Crowe all bagging 2/2, and a cameo from D Haddock.
The Cowboys travelled to Whitehead to face the Trojans.  With last week’s match still fresh in their minds against the Trojans’ stable-mates, the McMurtry clan put in a steady shift taking both sessions 4-3. With hat-tricks for both Hugh & Roy, the Carrick men made sure of the points this time out. Best for the hosts was manager Tristin Scott-Hayes 2/3.
Clare Roberts’ Warriors played host to The Greenisland Working Men’s Club and were up against it from the word go as the visitors put last week’s performance behind them and ran out both sessions 5-2. Stuart Lennon made the most of the evening taking a fine hat-trick. Best for the visitors Joe Patton 3/3, Andy Galloway 2/3, Michael Lowry 2/3 &Rab Brown 2/2
In Rathcoole it was derby night as stable-mates Eastway and The Alpha faced off. However it wasn’t to be the Alpha’s night as the evening became the D Flanagan & R Whiteside show with both putting together well taken hat-tricks.
The Teddy Bears, sitting 7th at the beginning of the evening they had a mid-table clash ahead of them as they played host to the Doagh Weapons.  It was to be one of those evenings for Dee Mcilwaine’s men as the visitors got off to a great start taking the first session 5-2 and made sure of the points in the second thanks mainly to their talisman Iain Britton finding his form again with a well taken hat-trick.  Wayne Lewis chipped in again with a solid brace and John Barrons rounded the evening off with a hat-trick of his own. Best for the hosts Roly McWilliams 2/3
