Champions Greenisland Galacticos travelled to the Alpha with 3 new signings in their ranks and made short work of the evening, winning the match 11-3, Carson brothers Steven & Chris both bagging hat-tricks along with league veteran, John McLean. The score line flattered the Greenisland men as the Alpha played some very good pool with Johnny Willis impressing on his debut. One of this season’s favourites, The Swift, move to the top of the table on frame difference with a 12-2 win over stable mates the Warriors with braces for Dee Irwin, Andy Arbuthnot, Kyle Kirkwood and captain Paul Roberts. New boys on the block, the Doagh Weapons, ripped through the Cowboys winning 10-4 with hat-tricks for Ian Britton, debut boy, Rab McCullough, and a brace from Wayne Lewis. The Scorpions new look team faced their first real challenge of the season against a very solid Hit Men & Her and they didn’t disappoint winning 7 in a row, winning the match 9-5. The Spartans travelled to the Teddy Bears winning the sessions 4-3 & 5-2.  Best for the visitors were Kenny English 3/3 and William Irvine 2/2. Whitehead Trojans entertained 4-man GWMSC and raced off into a 5-0 lead before the Greenisland men pulled it back to 6-5 with 3 to play.  The hosts held their nerve with joint Captain Gordon McCormick getting them over the line at 8-6. Greenisland Colts hosted Eastway, with the visitors taking the points after a comfortable 10-4 win and another fine hat-trick for Trevor Greer.
