2nd Legs - Tuesday 18th February

Knock Out Cup winners Swift Bar signalled their intention of also winning the Home & Away Cup with a 12-2 thrashing of stablemates The Warriors. They won both sessions 6-1 with hat tricks apiece for Rab Butler, Dee Irwin and team Captain Paul Roberts. League leaders Cowboys had a convincing 11-3 win away to Teddy Bears, with Chris Carson bagging a fine treble. It's still all to play for in the 2nd leg between Scorpions and HM&H in two weeks time in Monkstown. Jonny Thompson's team lead 8-6 but will do well to be in the draw for the Quarter Finals. Davy Montgomery won the all important 14th frame for Scorpions to give them a narrow lead. Both Whitehead teams Spartans and Trojans were playing in the Greenisland Club against Barbarians and GWMSC respectively and both headed back up the coast with solid wins. Spartans went 0-1 behind but ended up comfortable 10-4 winners, winning both sessions by 5-2. Well done to Barbars Craig Laughlin on a great hat trick in a match that seen five 8 ball clearances. Trojans had probably the shock result of the night, beating 5th placed GWMSC by 9-5. New Carrick Under 23 Champion William Irvine bagged a treble and Under 18 Champion Lee Topping scored a double. Galacticos will be more than confident of progressing to the Last eight after an emphatic 12-2 away win over Alpha. 39ERS and Eastway both had byes.
