Paul Roberts Swift Pool Team have put a considerable dent in Galacticos title hopes. They won 9-5 with session scores of 4-3 and 5-2. Even a Rab McCullough hat trick couldn't rescue Galacticos who after having led the table nearly all the way are now down to 2nd behind Cowboys who move top after beating Teddy Bears 10-4 for their 12th straight League win in a row. It was tight at the half time interval with Cowboys only leading 4-3 but they took 6 out of the 7 second half frames to sit proudly on top of the pile. Spartans outside chance of the title is still alive after a gruelling 8-6 home win against GWMSC. They went ahead for the first time in the match at 5-4 after a fine 8 ball clearance from Stephen McWhirter. GWMSC had been in top form in the first half inspired by two great clearances from Hugh Regan. But Spartans edged it with Eddie Gribben scoring an impressive hat trick on the night. Andy Galloway scored 2/2 for the visitors. Ballyclare based 39ERS strolled to a 10-4 win at home to Warriors, best for the hosts was Neil Campbell with 3/3 and Wayne Lewis on 2/2. Scorpions found form winning both sessions 5-2 against Barbarians, best for the home side were Jonny Thompson and Colin Rafferty both notching up trebles. Mark Porter won two of the visitors four frames. HM&H overcame a resilient Eastway winning the last 3 frames of the match to record a 9-5 win. Alpha remain bottom on frame difference after a 4-10 home defeat to Whitehead Trojans, veteran Stevie Hamilton registering a treble for the visitors.
