Hi everyone, as you know, CITY AIR EXPRESS Carrick & District Pool League are celebrating our 20th anniversary this year with the highlight being a Festival of Pool in the Nortel Club running from Saturday 25th January to Sunday 2nd February climaxing with the Northern Ireland Pool Association's Interleague events.On Saturday 25th January we have a 5 a side Competition which is open to all, the only restriction being teams entering can only have a maximum of 3 players who are classed by our Committee as Northern Ireland B1 or above. Entry is £25 with a £5 registration fee. 25% of the money will go to our League's nominated 2013/2014 season charity "Life After Loss" with the remainder being paid out in prize money. Kick off is 1:00pm
On Sunday 26th we will be holding an open handicapped tournament, open to all with entry only £5 per player. Kick off 1:00pm
Come the 27th it will be Money Monday where the 12 tables will be available for Money Match challenges with the stakes big or small, whatever the players arrange. Anyone interested in a challenge text League Secretary Rab Brown on 07899 913785. Names are coming in already, it can be doubles, singles or mini interleague format. 7:30pm start
Tuesday 28th will be our flagship event, the League Individuals where Galacticos Trevor Whiteside will face stiff opposition in defence of his crown.
Wednesday 29th is an open Scotch Doubles night. Kick off 7:30pm
Thursday 30th is practice night
Friday 31st will see our Seniors, Ladies, Masters, U18s & U23s Individual events take place
And finally on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd we will be hosting the prestigious NIPA Interleague Competitions, where Leagues from all over NI will converge to battle it out on the gren baize to be crowned Northern Ireland Champions.
