The top 5 teams in the CITY AIR EXPRESS Carrick & District Pool League all won so its as you were at the top. In the Greenisland Club derby the match was over after 11 frames as leaders Galacticos romped home 11-3. Top shooter was Dean McDonagh with a hat trick. And Swift won by the same scoreline with session scores of 5-2 and 6-1, there were trebles for Captain Paul Roberts, Rab Butler and Andy Arbuthnot. These two teams collide next Tuesday in a vital match for both. Cowboys strolled home 13-1 at Warriors to stay very much in contention at the top. Derek Baird scored the solitary frame for the hosts. HM&H raced into a 3-0 lead in Whitehead against the Spartans helped by a wonder clearance by Paul Henderson. But Spartans rallied taking the next 6 frames. The final 4 were shared as Spartans claimed all 3 points. Eddie Gribben & Kenny English both scored 2/2 for the hosts. 39ERS had a comfortable 10-4 win in Whitehead against Trojans. The hosts won the first two and the last two frames of the match as 39ERS reeled of ten in a row, best for the visitors was Iain Britton with a fine treble and Lee Topping won 2 of Trojans 4 frames. Glen Burns's GWMSC had a solid 9-5 win at Andy Lindsay's Teddy Bears. In Rathcoole, Eastway Social Club narrowly defeated Scorpions by an 8-6 margin.
