>  Andy Arbuthnots Rockers are very nearly there, they need just 1 more point from 4 matches to secure the title of 2012/2013 Carrick & District League Champions. But with the Brian Brady Memorial Competition on next Tuesday they will have to wait a fortnight to try and earn that point, away to Michael Lowry's Barbarians. Rockers overcame Teddy Bears 9-5 tonight in Whiteabbey Legion.
> Spartans challenge fizzled out with a 5-9 reverse against Monkstown HM&H in Whitehead. Incredibly the visitors raced into a 6-0 lead playing the sort of pool that won them the Knock Out Cup earlier in the year. They took 2 from the next 3 to secure the 3 points in their battle for 5th spot in the League table. Spartans finished strong courtesy of a Kenny English hat trick but it was too late as the damage had been done in the first half of the match. Glenn Russell and Robert Henderson both had superb 8 ball clearances for HM&H.
> Castle kept up their challenge for the Runners Up spot with a solid 9-5 win over Scorpions.
> In the Monkstown Social Club MSC Trojans led Barbarians 7-6 with one to play, but it was visitors Captain Michael Lowry who ensured his team a point with a fine break and dish in frame 14.
> Cowboys recent good form continued as they seen off Eastway in the Brown Cow by 10-4
> Whitehead Trojans showed what they are capable off with an 11-3 win away to Alpha, whilst Warriors recorded a 14-0 against Jolly Beggar. Greenisland had a bye this week.
