Greenisland 3-11 Rockers
League leaders Rockers made the short trip up to Greenisland determined to hold on to their top spot. And they started impressively with A.Arbuthnot, J.Johnston winning the first 2 frames. R.Butler with a pinpoint 8 ball clearance incresed the lead to 3-0 before GI Captain H.Warwick registered the hosts first point. Butler was on fire and ripped out another 8 ball clearance in frame 5 to increase the lead. Rockers Captain J.McClean and P.Harris won the final 2 before the interval to give the visitors a very comfortable 6-1 lead. And 2 frames into the 2nd session the 3 points were secured with solid wins from S.Carson and D.Whiteside. But Greenisland still had pride to play for and Warwick won 2 out of the next 3 frames for his team giving him an excellent 3/3 on the night. In between Harris had won his 2nd and further wins from Whiteside and Arbuthnot finished the evening off in style for the Rockers. Best on the night for the Rockers was Butler with those 2 superb clearances and for GI, the Captains innings from Warwick on 3/3.
Spartans 11-3 Eastway
Spartans raced into a 4-0 lead with wins from J.Kane, S.Burns, R.Hawkins and debutante D.Lowe. Eastway responded by winning 2 out of next 3 with wins from R.Whiteside and T.Greer either side of a win for K.English. The hosts came out of the blocks running in the second session again winning the first 4 frames through Kane, Lowe, Burns and English.
