- Rockers Pool Team took a massive step towards the League title tonight. They absolutely thrashed near rivals Castle by 12-2 on Castle's home table, and to make it even sweeter, 2nd placed Spartans took a nosedive at home to MSC Trojans. Dee Irwin and Rab Butler both scored hat tricks as Rockers ran riot.
- Spartans trailed 1-3 but pulled back to lead 4-3 at the interval. they pulled away further to lead 6-4 but MSC Trojans never gave up and soon levelled the match at 6-6. By now the news had filtered through that Rockers had taken all 3 points against Castle, a result that Spartan Captain Kenny English did not want to hear. And to rub salt into the Spartan wounds Rab McMaw and Mervyn McIlvenny took the last 2 frames to seal 3 precious points for the away side. The only bright note for the hosts was yet another Stephen Johnston hat trick. For the visitors Wayne Lewis and McIlvenny both scored 2/2. It's ag big result for the Trojans, one that they have been threatening to do against a top 3 team for a while now. Captain Rab Brown will be hoping to build on this and finish as high up the table as possible.
- Greenisland overcame Jolly Beggar by 9-5 and Andy Lindsay's Teddy Bears had a great 10-4 away win against Eastway in Rathcoole.
- HM&H laboured greatly and eventually had to rely on Andy McMeekin winning the 14th frame to gain a point against a bouyant Whitehead Trojans team.
- In form team The Scorpions crashed at home to the Barbarians in an amazing match. Barbars raced into a 4-0 lead but after frame 9 they were trailing 4-5. But they dug deep and ran out the final 5 frames of the evening for a deserved 9-5 victory. Tyler McConnnell and Craig Laughlin both scored 2/2 for Barbarians and best for Scorpions was Clem Howard with 3/3.
- Clare Webster's Warriors led Alpha 6-1 at the break and could have been forgiven for thinking that gaining the 3 points was only a formality. But back came Alpha to trail by only 6-7 with 1 frame to play. Alas it was to no avail as Derek Baird won the frame to secure the 3 points for Warriors.
- Cowboys had a bye this week.
