Whitehead Spartans are the new 2011/2012 Carrick & District Pool League Champions. They had to win away to Alpha to secure their first ever League success and they did it in style with a thumping 13-1 victory. It completes a remarkeable season for the boys in blue as they also won the Knock Out Cup and the Brian Brady Memorial Shield. Kenny English is the new Carrick Individual Champion, Ellis Martin won the Carrick Seniors Championship and Ed McDowell was recently crowned Northern Ireland Masters Champion. It also ends an 8 month long hard season for all the teams in our League, very well done to all Team Managers and players for the commitment shown throughout the season.

Alpha 1-13 Spartans. Whitehead Spartans steamrolled their way to the title with this big win away to Alpha. The visitors raced into a 3-0 lead and although Alpha pulled one back, nothing was going to prevent Tommy Maguire's team from storming to the 3 points that secured the League Championship. And in Frame 9 the long wait was over as Darren Lowe sunk his last 3 colours and the black to start off the Spartan celebrations. Scorer for Alpha was L.Carson.
