End of Season do

CITY AIR EXPRESS Carrick & District Pool League celebrated its 18th End of Season with a Prizegiving evening on Friday night in Whiteabbey RBL. Music was by DJ Jamie, and the highlight of the evening was players and partners dressing up for a rendition of "Stars in their Eyes". It was a sight to behold, great fun indeed and well done to all who took part. We would like to thank the Committee of the Legion for supplying a tremendous buffet free of charge and to our League sponsors, CITY AIR EXPRESS for their continuing support. On the night we added some funds to our Leagues nominated Charity for the season, Laurel House Cancer Unit in Antrim. Jonny Johnston arranged a supplement to all drinks purchased on the night (£44.03), Michael Lowry Captain of the Barbarians Pool Team donated their Runners Up Prize Money from the Brian Brady Memorial Shield (£40.00) and Debby Walker sold a ballot on behalf of the League Committee (£33.00). Added to the Charity Shield collection (£100), Hangover Cup collection (£165) and Carrick B2 Interleague team Manager Rab Brown's donation of his teams winnings (£50), we have a running total of £432.03 with The Robert Kennedy Memorial Scotch Doubles still to come on Saturday July 28th. Well done to all.

Till next season folks.........
