The Carrick 2011/12 League Individuals have been narrowed down to the last 8 players. The Competition will be played to a finish on Sunday 13th May in Whitehead GRSC with a 1:30pm start.
Probably the best performance of the day was from Rockers star Gee Crawley who came back from 0-3 down against Tom McCorry to win 4-3. MSC Trojans player Mervyn McIlvenny came within a whisker of knocking out many peoples tournament favourite Dee Irwin who survived and is through to the Last 8. Paul Roberts was in fine form as he ousted Ed McDowell 4-0 and Derek Whiteside recovered from 0-3 down against Stephen McWhirter to level at 3-3 only to agonisingly lose the deciding frame. Kenny English, John McClean, Paul Harris and Tristan Scott-Heyes all made it through safely to the Sunday.
