The Rockers are odds on favourites to reach the Final of the City Air Express Home & Away Cup after a convincing 10-4 win against The Barbarians. Even with home advantage it will still be a mountain to climb in the 2nd Leg of the tie for Michael Lowry's Barbars. In the Lighthouse Bar it was a lot closer, Spartans led 4-3 at the interval but a 4 frame burst in the 2nd half put Johnny Thompsons lads in control and they went on to record an 8-6 win. It makes for an exciting return Leg in Whitehead next Monday night.
