The semi finals took place on Tuesday 13th May.
Trojans hosted Bay City Bowlers at their Whitehead Rangers fortress. Bowlers’ Ricky Topping put the first frame on the board before a brace for Trojans Trevor Whiteside, Tommy Fleming and Gary Fitsimmons and a single from Chris Hobson put Trojans on the hill in this race to 8. In a gallant display Jim Miller, Ricky Topping and Ian McMillan begun the Bowlers’ come back before stalwart Trevor Whiteside Secured the winning frame for Trojans and his Hat Trick on the night. Final score Trojans 8 Bowlers 4.
The Pink Ladies hosted the Tigers in Greenisland Workingman’s club. Tigers’ Scott Pettigrew, Stephen McWhirter, Steven Simpson, Sam Sloan and Kye Robinson took their chances and raced to a 5-0 lead. Billie Jo McClure stopped the rot and notched up a frame for the ladies. Steven Simpson chipped in his second followed by Tom McGurk and Jonny Eccles for a convincing 1-8 victory for the Tigers Bay outfit.
