● What a fantastic debut in the CDPL for Carrickfergus Golf Club. They got off to a flying start leaving the Greenisland Colts trailing by 5-2. The Colts hoped to do better in the second half but quite apart from it genuinely being one of those nights with missed blacks and cue ball in offs from breaks they did seem to still be on holiday after the summer recess. That is not to take away from the Carrick teams performance in any way as they really did prove to be a very attacking team with good strong potters and infact went on to do even better in the second half making the final score on the evening Carrickfergus Golf Club 11 - Greenisland Colts 3
The Colts welcomed the Golf Club to the league and the Golf Club welcomed the Colts to their Club. A very friendly enjoyable start to the league new season for both teams.
