The Times Tigers roared away to a great start of this evenings CDPL Harbour Cup Final Sponsored by the ACE Amber Castle Entertainment.
Quite quickly they found themselves 5 - 2 in front of this year's newcomers The Railway Bar Blues.
You could have been forgiven at this point for thinking that perhaps with this being The Blues team's debut in a Cup final match of this magnitude that it was possibly going to prove a little too much on this their first competitive season.
The Newtownabbey men however had other ideas and suddenly somehow stoked the fire in their engine to steam back at their more experienced Times Bar Belfast opponents.
Soon equalising prior to forging ahead to an eventual 7 - 6 lead.
With the Tigers needing the next game to draw level and of course The Blues requiring just one more to cross the finish line it was indeed as I'm sure you can well imagine a tense atmosphere within the Greenisland Working Men's Social Club.
Said game however culminated with Railway Blue Craig "The Equaliser" Laughlin being victorious holding his nerve and potting his penultimate ball from a snooker to clinch the 2024 Harbour Cup Winners title along with his team mates.
Well done Railway Blues and commiserations to Times Tigers.
