In the semi finals of the players memorial shield sponsored by SKC Gaming NI the Greenisland Colts came through a tough battle but progressed to the final with a 5-3 win over Railway Blues.
Railway Blues Ryan Stuart had got his team off the starting blocks with a first frame win.
Colts hit back with Aarron Watters in the second frame. The third frame taken by Railway Blue Josh followed by a fourth frame doubles win for Colts Captain Harry Warwick and his playing partner Joe Patton.
Patton again was victorious for the Colts in the next doubles game with playing partner Gary Brown.
Everyone in attendance soon realised this would be a tight one as Railway Blue Jackie Murdock took the next frame. Colt Captain, Harry Warwick kept the pressure on by winning the seventh frame.
Andy Galloway seen his team over the finish line and into the Cup Final with a last frame win.

In another epic match which the Times Bar Scorpions came from 3-0 down to win 5-3 over a very strong Q Club team.
Ryan McKillop, Andrew Ferguson and Tyler McKee romped to a 3-0 lead before the city dwelling Scorpions adjusted to the sea air.
Paul Kerr and Lee McIlreevy took the first Scotch doubles frame for Scorpions. It was soon followed by Gerry McCorry and Chris Carson in the next Scotch doubles frame. In the next singles frame Gerry levelled the scores at 3-3 with a solid win before Michael Wilson put the Scorpions on the hill. Lee McIlreevy made it five and send Scorpions through to the final after a fantastic come back. You can never write the reigning champions off.

Big thanks to Whitehead Glasgow Rangers Supporters club for hosting the semi finals.
