Scorpions consolidated top spot in the City Air Express Carrick & District Pool League table after a comfortable 11-3 win away to Greenisland Colts. Second placed Trojans went down 8-6 away to the resurgent Ball Breakers, Rab McMaw winning the all important fourteenth rack to secure all three points. Robert Henderson's Hit Men & Her continued their great form, though they got it tight away to the improving Times Tigers, having to win all of the final five frames to register a vital 8-6 success with Andy McMeekin taking the honours in the final rack. Derek Whiteside's Galacticos had a great win 9-5 away to Doagh Dragons, never an easy venue to pick up points and last but not least Vikings move to within four points of second spot courtesy of a solid 9-5 home success over bottom side Alpha.
