It's well done to the Swift Bar on winning their first trophy of the season in the form of the Brian Brady Memorial Shield. After a great night of Pool in the Nortel Club Paul Roberts' team made it through to the Final from the top half of the League table but only by frame difference in a tight group that included Greenisland Galacticos and Greenisland WMSC. Also a huge well done to Girvan Fleming's basement team The Vikings who made it to the final from the bottom half of the table beating Whitehead Rangers stablemates The Spartans in their Semi Final match. But the fairy tale wasn't to be and Swift ran out 4-1 winners to seal the victory. They will now hope to push on and retain their League crown from last season as they battle out the last three fixtures in a two horse race with McConnells, both teams level on 52 points a piece.
