in the Greenisland Working Men’s Club.

The 8 teams split into 2 groups and played out a round robin, with the
winner of each group playing the runner-up of the other group. After an intense
8 hours of pool, the Swifticos won Group 1 with the Muscles from Brussels
taking second place after a tight victory over 7 up. In group 2, defending champions, Bucket of
Coors, topped the group unbeaten after a tight match with runners up, Gee BC.
Semi Finals
Bucket of Coors cruised into the final with a 5-0 win over the Muscles
from Brussels. Over on the other table the Swifticos and Gee B C fought out an
epic 2-hour match with the Swifticos coming out on top.
Final
The Swifticos didn’t have it all their way as Doagh Weapons talisman,
Iain Britton, did all he could with a fine hat-trick. However after 11 hours of pool the Swifticos experience
got them over the line to take the first major title of the season with a 5-3
win.
A great day’s pool was had by all with the level of pool on display a
credit to the league team managers.
