Holders Spartans progressed to the Quarter Finals after a 5-1 win over Barbarians making the aggregate score 15-5. Cowboys too were untroubled winning the 4 frames they needed without reply from Teddy Bears. Swift went 0-1 down but won the next 3 which was enough to seal their place in the last eight off the competition. Shock of the evening was a good 4-3 away win for Alpha at Galacticos but it wasn't enough to stop the Greenisland team progressing into the draw for the last 8. HM&H who trailed 6-8 from the first leg led 4-3 at the interval at home to Scorpions. But Jonny Thompsons team rallied taking 4 out of the next 5 frames for an overall victory off 15-11. The Trojans made the last 8 courtesy of a 6-3 win over GWMSC for an aggregate score of 15-8. A William Irvine hat trick was the backbone for the Whitehead teams success.
