The 2013/14 season of the CITY AIR EXPRESS Carrick & District Pool League is officially underway as Spartans and HM&H met in the Charity Shield at Greenisland WMC.Spartans took the honours in a keeenly contested match, just edging each session 4-3 for an 8-6 win.
But the real deal starts in earnest next tuesday and some teams are embarking in a last minute scramble to make signings, akin to the flurry of activity in the English Premier League.

At our Committee meeting prior kick off "LIFE AFTER LOSS" was chosen as our annual nominated charity for the season. With branches in Carrickfergus, Antrim and Ballymena "LIFE AFTER LOSS" helps families who have been affected by the loss of a baby at any stage in pregnancy or early in life.£50 was raised tonight to start off the kitty for this season
