Carrick League sent a strong team up to the annual Northern Ireland Pool Association Interleague Competition in Ballymena United Social Club (pictured right). But unfortunately the lads underperformed and in the opening match against the hosts Ballymena, we went from being 3-2 up to being 9-3 down, eventually losing 12-6. We won our next match convincingly defeating Ballyclare 12-5 but lost 12-9 to eventual Champions Coleraine in our 3rd Group match to be eliminated from the Competition. Hopefully our B1 or B2 team can restore some pride when they travel to the 'B' event next Sunday.
On a brighter note, 2 of our players, Dee Irwin and Ed McDowell had a 100% record on the day, both winning all their 5 frames played.
