Greenisland 8-6 Eastway
As anticipated this was a close entertaining match, and for the 2nd week running GI Captain Harry Warwick led by example winning all 3 of his frames. The hosts started well taking a 2-0 lead with wins from G.Burns and P.Akehurst. The next 2 were shared, R.Whiteside for Eastway and Warwick with a fine 8 ball clearance for Greenisland. But the visitors soon levelled the match at 3-3 with wins from L.McCord and M.Greer. Burns with his 2nd on the trot for GI gave the home team a slender 4-3 advantage at the half way point. Warwick's 2nd win restored a 2 frame advantage but Eastway would not go away and levelled the match at 5-5 with good wins from T.Greer and R.Whiteside. GI would not be denied their 2nd win of the season and 3 on the trot from Warwick and R.Croft (2) ensured 3 points for the hosts. T.Greer took the last frame for Eastway to end the match at 8-6 for Greenisland. Best on the night was Warwicks hat trick and R.Whiteside for Eastway on 2/2.

Spartans 6-8 Castle
2nd met 3rd in this much anticipated League fixture down in Whitehead. It was the visitors Castle who stormed into an early 3-0 win wins from T.Whiteside, P.Roberts and T.McCorry. But Spartans rallied and pulled 2 back through S.McWhirter and D.Lowe. Castle took the final 2 of the session to lead 5-2 at the interval courtesy of wins from Irwin and Meredith.
A fine clearance from K.English and one just as good from Lowe, brought the hosts back to within a single frame of the visitors at 4-5. The next 2 were shared T.Whiteside with his 2nd for Castle and J.Kane with a trademark break and dish for Spartans. Burns near levelled the match at 6-6 with another break and dish but the cue ball agonisingly over ran by about half an inch. Irwin took full advantage to secure at least a point for his team. And the 3 points were soon heading up to Carrick when McCorry finished well when gifted 2 shots. R.Hawkins won the final frame of the evening to give a final scoreline of 8-6 to Castle.
