BM KITCHEN DESIGNS KNOCK OUT CUP RESULTS


In the Knock Out Cup, sponsored by BM Kitchen Designs, preliminary round The Scorpions hosted Galacticos.

Darren Whiteside gave the Scorpions the lead with a precision finish over Neil McFaul in this race to 8 frames. Scorpions were soon 2 up as Paul Kerr controlled the next frame v Ali Wilson.

Galactico’s Paul Harris pulled one back with a vintage break and dish against Lee McIlreevy. 

Jonathan Nelson restored the Scorpions 2 frame cushion with some smart play and pinpoint finishing.

Paul Kerr was in again against Ali Wilson and soon it was 4-1 to Scorpions.

Lee McIlreevy swiftly made it 5-1 with confident break and dish.

Chris Carson soon made it 6-1 with another rampant break and dish over Derek Whiteside.

Galacticos pulled on back with a nice finish from Aaron Rolston. Scorpions Paul Kerr was up against Alistair Wilson for the third time. With two wins already under Paul’s belt his confidence was soaring as he made his hat trick to put his team on the hill.

Chris Carson had the finish line in sight and he nonchalantly eased the Scorpions into the next round with a solid victory over Paul Harris. Final score Scorpions 8 Galactiocs 2.

Bay City Bowlers v Rab and T's Rockets

Great match played in the right spirit. Bay City Bowlers started strongly by taking an early 3 -1 lead. The Rockets then found their form and rattled off 6 frames in a row to take a commanding lead. Glen Colwell then took a frame for the home side to make it 7 - 4. Deano Reid then stepped up to seal the win for the Rockets. Well played by the visitors, and the home side performed well with a number of close frames. Final score 4 - 8.

Rockets To Be came through their toughest test of the season so far with an 8-7 play off win over Tigers.
