Rockers secure Shield in season opener
City Air Express Carrick & District Pool League 2012/2013 season is now officially underway and what a great season we have in prospect. The Charity Shield opener was played out by Champions The Spartans and Runners Up The Rockers. And it was the new look Rockers who made a big statement of intent for the new season by coming from 2-4 down to win by 8-5 on the night, with the impressive Andy Arbuthnot completing a memorable hat trick. Shaun McAllister had a fine debut winning 2//2. Best for Spartans was current European Senior Individual Runner Up Stephen Johnston on 2/3

We also raised £95 on the night to go towards our new season charity, The Snowflake Family Support Group, which helps children with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
